The Growth Management Department includes four departments that promote and protect quality development within our County, consistent with the State and local regulations, and consistent with the DeSoto County Comprehensive Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical planning support the Board of County Commissioners, Administrator, and other County departments
• Liasons with advisory boards, governmental agencies, and the private secotr to keep within desired quality of life for DeSoto County
• Ensuring orderly growth and development
• Providing inspections and oversight to the building industry and providing code enforcement
